  • Prepare and review non-complex federal/state income tax returns and state franchise tax returns in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of more complex tax returns.
  • Create accurate supporting tax schedules and technical forms.
  • Assist with federal/state income tax audits as required.
  • Conduct research projects and prepare technical memo write-ups documenting conclusions.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to tax correspondence from various tax agencies.
  • Develop expertise in income tax compliance and research methodologies.
  • Assume accountability for completing assigned tasks and responsibilities.


  • Strong analytical skills to comprehend income tax accounting theory and tax compliance laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently complete assignments and take ownership of tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of corporate tax forms and schedules
  • Experienced with Excel and income tax compliance software (CorpTax experience a plus)
  • Basic understanding of the fundamentals of accounting based on US GAAP, ASC 740, consolidated tax return regulations, and multi state tax concepts.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, new ideas, perspectives, strategies, and positions
  • Works effectively as a team member by operating cooperatively and cohesively with others.


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
  • Prior internship or tax experience is strongly preferred.
  • Master’s degree in taxation is helpful.
