About the Company & Role

I’m partnered with a leading innovator in the automation technology industry space. As a Corporate Tax Accountant, you’ll manage sales and property tax filings, support audits, ensure compliance with state and local tax regulations, and collaborate with external advisors. You’ll also help improve internal processes and stay ahead of regulatory changes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file sales & use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions
  • Maintain exemption certificates and monitor tax law changes
  • Register the company in new states and manage business licenses
  • File annual reports, franchise tax returns, and support income tax prep
  • Handle 1099 reporting and vendor data validation
  • Manage business personal property tax filings and appeals
  • Conduct tax research and advise on legislative changes
  • Reconcile tax-related GL accounts and support month-end close

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in tax or statutory accounting
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and multi-state tax compliance
  • Familiarity with ERP and tax software (e.g., Avalara, Business Central)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
