About The Role

The Tax Accountant will assist with the day-to-day activities of the corporate tax department. This includes assisting in the preparation of the company’s quarterly and annual income tax provision, the federal and state income tax returns, estimated tax payments, property tax returns, sales and use tax returns, and the preparation of related supporting workpapers and calculations.

What You Will Do

  • Assist in the Federal and State income tax return preparation process.
  • Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual tax provisions and supporting work papers.
  • Develop general understanding of company’s accounting system.
  • Organize and maintain appropriate supporting documentation for subsidiaries’ income tax projection and other projects.
  • Prepare necessary tax calculations for completed transactions.
  • Gather, organize and summarize relevant documentation for completed transactions.
  • Effectively communicate tax issues to others within the organization.

About You

  • BBA in Accounting.
  • CPA is a plus, but not required.
  • Combined 1 to 3 years public accounting and/or corporate tax experience.
  • General knowledge of corporate tax
  • Strong spreadsheet skills essential.
  • Willingness and ability to pursue information with outside departments and third parties.
  • Strong organizational skills needed.
  • Strong independent work habits.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Real estate industry knowledge a plus
  • Must be able to work independently and pay close attention to detail.
