Staff Accountant
Our client is in search for multiple talented Staff Accountants who will report to the Director of Financial Reporting. This role will work closely with Director of Accounting and Chief Accounting Officer to support the implementation of a strong and fast-paced accounting function that seeks to be a valued partner to the organization and drive successful outcomes. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the buildout of a strong accounting function foundation to support the long-term success of the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Becoming fully emersed in new ERP platform rollout to serve as Accounting SME
- Maintain, analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Support sub-ledger processes around inventory and capital management
- Assist in monthly close
- Support audit activities
- Develop and maintain both policy and process for internal control procedures (SOX 404)
- Support tax reporting and filing
- Serve as a key interface between the company and external parties
- Other duties as requested
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Master’s / MBA a plus
- Solid presentation skills
- Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations strongly preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Accounting preferred
- Active CPA license (or currently pursuing)
- Experience in a global business environment strongly preferred
- Strong relationship building skills with all levels of the organization, including communication with our parent company
- Excellent working knowledge of GAAP
- Experience drafting financial statement notes, MD&A, and associated SEC filing requirements
