Reporting to the Head of Corporate, you will also work closely with the exisiting tax team. The firm works with a wealth of start-up, growth businesses as well as more established businesses. Your role will involve assisting a portfolio of clients with establishing and advising on their employee incentive schemes and arrangements, including: ESOPs, EMIs, Phantom Share/Option Plans and Growth Share Schemes. You will work closely with founders and management teams to help them implement the appropriate employee incentive schemes for their businesses. In addition, you will provide advice on transactional matters such as M&A and VC deals which involve employee incentive schemes.

This role will see you:

  • Negotiating, drafting and reviewing all legal documentation connected with employee incentive schemes, including for ESOPs, EMI, Phantom Share/Option Plans and Growth Share Schemes * Being able to pro-actively lead on a matter for which they are responsible, with partner guidance where needed.
  • Working closely with other team members and departments to deliver a cohesive service to clients

The position would suit a 5-7 years PQE lawyer however individuals who are more or less experienced with the right skills will also be considered. It comes with a lot of autonomy and client interaction. Strong communication skills, the ability to prioritise and a flexible, ‘can-do’ attitude will be critical to success.
