Senior Technical Accountant
I’m partnered with a professional membership organization on a fully REMOTE Senior Technical Accountant hire. They are in search of a technical accounting expert who thrives on solving complex challenges. This is a highly visible role partnering across the business to shape accounting outcomes and influence key decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Lead accounting analysis for complex, non-routine transactions and determine appropriate U.S. GAAP treatment
- Research and apply guidance (incl. revenue recognition & leases) to support critical business initiatives
- Draft technical accounting memos and maintain clear, defensible documentation
- Partner cross-functionally (Finance, Legal, Tax) to evaluate new deals and strategic initiatives
- Support external audits, financial reporting, and policy development, while strengthening internal controls
What You Bring
- CPA and Bachelors degree in Accounting
- 5-7 years’ experience, including technical accounting, policy, or financial reporting
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP (ASC 606 & 842 preferred)
- Proven ability to interpret and apply guidance to complex, judgment-based scenarios
- Strong communicator who translates technical concepts into clear business insights
- Self-starter comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience in non-profit space, huge plus!
