Qualifications

  • Manage and review the quarterly and annual global income tax provision process as required by ASC 740, including calculation of the effective tax rate, current and deferred tax provisions; reconciliation of tax accounts, and collaboration with the international tax and accounting teams to accurately record tax entries
  • Oversee tax accounting for M&A activity, restructuring or reorganization initiatives
  • Prepare and review income tax disclosures and footnotes for annual and quarterly financial statements
  • Prepare and manage tax memos regarding uncertain tax positions, realization of deferred tax assets and documenting the tax implications of various transactions
  • Manage communication with external auditors as well as SOX compliance and related documentation
  • Review and manage monthly account reconciliations for income taxes and professional tax service fees accrued
  • Assist with the global budgeting and reforecast process for income taxes and professional tax service fees
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (FP&A, accounting, acquisition, tax) to model company’s REIT taxable income projection
  • Work closely with accounting to understand financial statement reporting for separate legal entities, including regular review of accounting system and financial statement information to ensure integrity of the reports for all DLR tax entities.
  • Assist with managing all aspects of the US federal, state and local income tax filings, outsourced global income tax and related domestic audits
  • Maintaining strong working relationships and coordination with external consultants and advisors
  • Influence and collaborate with key cross-functional partners and leadership in Accounting, Finance, Legal and Business teams

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 7-10 years of corporate tax experience, including public accounting and industry experience
  • Solid working knowledge of ASC 740 principles and experience in leading the global reporting of quarterly income tax accounting and related disclosures
  • Solid experience with multi-national tax operations
  • Solid technical knowledge of US corporate income tax principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Solid organizational skills, great attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • The ability to achieve goals and work independently as well as to contribute as a team player
