We are currently searching for an experienced employment tax / global mobility professional who wants to move into a fully autonomous in-house position. The role will have a broad remit covering all employment tax, expatriate and global mobility issues for a large multi-national business. There will also be the opportunity to further develop your experience across other areas of corporate tax if this is a path the successful candidate wants to follow.
The organisation is an iconic London institution with a rare blend of historical values, with modern ways of operating. They have a vibrant culture in their head office, and as such are looking for a confident communicator who wants to work in a large, but close-knit tax team.
The role will require someone to take on a broad range of responsibilities including:
- Supporting with the payroll process
- Advising expatriate employees
- Ensure global mobility policies are followed
- Liaising with HMRC
- Support on remuneration structures, and employee share plans
- Ensure on-going compliance with changing tax regulations
This is just a snapshot of what some of the key responsibilities will be within the role. In reality the role will give you exposure to a broad range of issues within (and outside) your specialism. The business isn't expecting the successful person to be an expert in every area, but that they have the ability to find the right answer.
Who are they looking for?
They are looking for an individual who has likely been a global mobility or employment tax professional for most of their career, with expertise in one area- but knowledge of both. They ideally want someone who has proven their technical ability with a taxation qualification, and who relishes the idea of the challenge of being the sole employment tax professional within the business. It is key for this role that the successful individual can build effective relationships across the business, and deliver information to senior stakeholders.
