Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 2 direct reports, driving optimum performance and delivery of team results, actively supporting their career development.
  • Lead the preparation and filing of all federal and state/local income and franchise tax returns for all companies in the U.S. Group.
  • Ensure company is in compliance with all relevant tax statutes, regulations, and all required deadlines are met.
  • Lead the preparation and tax accounting reporting for the US annual tax provision, including Group IFRIC analysis, and related footnote disclosures.
  • Manages the preparation and tax forecasting of US annual effective tax rate and quarterly tax deposits, feeding in to the Group’s ETR forecasting analysis.
  • Monitor and manage the sales and use tax return preparation, with outside advisor support. Collaboratively work with Global Tax’s Transaction Tax team on Indirect Tax risk management and related issues.
  • Manage all tax audits, inquiries and data gathering.
  • Partner with business with compliance, planning opportunities, and contract reviews.
  • Drive improvements in technology use, process and tax risk management within the US Tax Team together with the wider Finance, HR, Global Business Service, Supply Chain and other support functions.
  • Provide consultation services with regard to corporate reorganizations, payroll tax, property tax, compensation matters, and special projects as they arise.
  • Interface with all levels within the company, in addition to outside accountants, counsel, and auditors on tax matters.
  • Undertake special financial projects as needed.
