Job Title: Tax Senior Analyst

Responsibilities: The Tax Senior Analyst will report to the Tax Reporting Manager and support income tax reporting and federal and state tax compliance obligations. This includes responsibilities related to external and internal financial reporting around income taxes, such as SEC and U.S. GAAP reporting, internal forecasting, and other ad-hoc reporting. This role is ideal for someone seeking exposure to a diverse range of accounting, tax technical, and operational issues in a growth-oriented FinTech business.

This position requires being onsite 4 days a week at any of the following locations: Atlanta, GA / Center Valley, PA / Morrisville, NC / Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance may be available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions, ensuring compliance with ASC 740 and related accounting standards.
  • Manage the accuracy of all income tax accounts using tax provision software (ONESOURCE Tax Provision) and workflow tools within the financial reporting process (Blackline).
  • Assist with the preparation of global effective tax rate and cash tax forecasting.
  • Prepare US tax compliance calculations or analyses (e.g., book-tax adjustments, tax basis balance sheets, etc.).
  • Manage federal and state tax audits, notice resolutions, and other correspondence.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement critical income tax provision processes with a focus on process improvement and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors in the preparation of annual US federal and state income tax returns to ensure timely and accurate filings.
  • Conduct tax research, draft tax memoranda, and assist in quantitative modeling for underlying tax reporting calculations.
  • Provide ad hoc support for special projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in tax accounting and financial reporting in a large public accounting firm or multinational corporation.
  • Experience with ASC 740 and tax accounting under US GAAP requirements.
  • Proficiency with ONESOURCE Tax Provision.
  • Experience with data automation tools such as Alteryx is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and organizational skills.
  • Proactive work ethic and ability to drive projects to completion within defined timeframes.
  • Ability and desire to perform in a high-energy team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Progress towards or completion of CPA certification is a plus.
