Senior Tax Analyst
Responsibilities
- Play an important role in the Company’s consolidated federal and state income tax compliance process to ensure accurate and timely filing. This includes preparation of book/tax adjustment support workpapers, state tax apportionment schedules and coordination with third party advisors;
- Participate in the preparation of the Company’s international information returns such as Forms 5471, 8858 and 1042 filings and related supporting schedules;
- Prepare federal and state quarterly estimated income and franchise tax calculations and extension filings;
- Maintain a tax calendar for income tax, sales tax, property tax and various business license filings;
- Participate in the Company’s annual and quarterly consolidated income tax provision preparation process, including calculation of book/tax differences, deferred tax schedules, tax account reconciliations and preparation of tax footnotes to financial statements;
- Involve in the planning and forecast of the Company’s annual effective tax rate quarterly;
- Assist in the management of the indirect tax reporting including review of tax consultant deliverables and coordination with other members of the Finance organization;
- Support with tax audits including gathering information and documenting responses to information requests;
- Collaborate with other members of the tax department in various tax planning projects to help meet business objectives;
- Perform tax research, monitor legislative changes and assist with analysis of the related impact to the Company;
- Help drive process improvement via technology to automate and streamline the tax reporting and compliance process;
- Assist in maintenance of tax related policies, procedures and internal controls as it relates to the Company’s compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 and
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of related corporate tax experience in a major public accounting firm and/or industry;
- Possess a solid understanding of US corporate income tax compliance, a general understanding of ASC 740;
- Some international taxation a plus, but not required;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required;
- Have strong analytical and problem solving skills, and be able to communicate findings in a simple and precise manner;
- Team player with a desire and ability to collaborate with others and build relationships;
- Motivated and be able to manage priorities and deadlines in a fast paced environment
