Senior Tax Analyst
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Chief Tax Officer and Director – Tax Planning and Strategy on tax implications of US operations and coordinating US tax laws with the business to develop tax strategy
- Quantitative analysis of tax data with an emphasis on US operations
- Calculate actual and estimated tax exposures for US operations on a short term and long term basis
- Coordinate across functions and external advisors to assess and identify opportunities to improve and optimize tax functions from process, data, and technology perspectives
- Assist with preparation and review of US federal and state tax workpapers and returns
- Assist with the mentoring and development of junior associates
- Build on technical competence by taking advantage of relevant in-person and virtual tax training opportunities provided by the company, our consultants or third parties
Develop tax technology skill sets in furtherance of process improvements and automation initiatives.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or similar related field. Master’s degree or professional degree in related field preferred
- 3 to 5 years of related work experience in taxation, emphasis on Subchapter K and tax partnerships preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including MS Excel
- Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn and innovate through tools such Alteryx, MS Power BI, MS Power Pivot, Generative AI and MS Power Query
- Strong skills in the following key areas:
