Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of the consolidation of the global income tax provision and preparation of US federal/state tax calculations in accordance with ASC 740 and financial statement disclosures on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Implement process improvements, controls, and automation to enable operational efficiencies and a streamlined close process and accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Prepare tax purchase accounting calculations for transactions.
  • Assist with tax controls process and documentation.
  • Perform technical research and quantitative analysis to implement strategic tax planning projects, including recurring and non-recurring transactions, acquisitions, divestitures, restructuring and other strategic issues.
  • Assist with preparation and review in the federal and state/local tax compliance process to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns and payment of estimated taxes.
  • Prepare written technical memorandums analyzing the US federal income tax consequences of transactions.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax developments and communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team.
  • Regularly interact with tax authorities, including but not limited to management of tax audits, response to tax notices, and independent resolution of tax matters.
  • Develop effective working relationships with non-tax counterparts in finance, legal and treasury.
  • Exhibit project management and self-management, communication, and teaming skills.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for achieving goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or tax. Master’s degree preferred. CPA required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience with global income tax provision, US federal and state tax compliance, and tax planning projects with Big 4 accounting firm.
  • Experience in Data Analytics systems (Alteryx, Tableau, Excel).
  • Experience in ERP and consolidation tools.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, effectively prioritize and meet deadlines, and contribute to a culture of excellence, integrity, and accountability.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication, people, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to think strategically with excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem‐solving skills.
  • Skilled in synthesizing data and distilling key points.
  • Hybrid with 3 days in N. Bethesda, MD office with the team.
