What You’ll Be Doing

  • Compiling and analyzing quarterly and annual income tax information for financial reporting
  • Assisting with preparation of income tax provisions under ASC 740
  • Assisting with assembling requested data for income tax reporting and correspond with internal and external auditors
  • Supervising tax staff in timely preparation and reporting of key income tax financial schedules
  • Managing various external tax vendors and supervising timely completion of projects
  • Preparing and supervising income tax compliance including federal and state returns
  • Facilitating income tax extensions and estimated tax payment calculations
  • Supervising month-end close process
  • Assisting with taxable income projections and forecasts
  • Managing and reviewing tax fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations
  • Performing research on tax issues and assisting with preparation of tax research memos
  • Assisting tax department with maintaining written documentation of tax policies and procedures
  • Coordinating with internal business units including Treasury, Legal, Accounting, and other corporate functions to inform financial decisions
  • Assisting with unclaimed property process
  • Managing, monitoring, researching and responding to federal and state notices
  • Providing ad-hoc reporting as needed

What You Should Have

  • 2+ years tax accounting experience with private industry and/or public accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Experience with tax research tools (e.g., RIA Checkpoint, BNA and/or CCH)
  • A strong understanding of Tax and US GAAP accounting principles
  • A strong written and oral communication skills
  • A strong proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly in Excel
  • A strongly ability to solve problems
  • The ability to gather, organize and analyze data
  • The ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners

It would be great if you also had

  • A CPA license
  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Tax
  • Partnership andor Corporate tax experience
  • Experience with ASC 740 reporting for quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with US GAAP
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion and/or Oracle Tax Fixed Assets
  • Experience leading and/or mentoring others
