Senior Property Accountant

My client is a vertically-integrated real estate firm experienced in acquisitions, development, leasing, finance, construction management, asset management and property management. Specializing in healthcare-oriented real estate and professional office development and acquisition across the Southeastern United States.

Responsibilities:

· Oversee financial accounting functions for a portfolio of 20 – 25 properties.

· Responsible for conducting detailed reviews of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

· Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for multiple properties, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

· Perform CAM reconciliations to ensure proper allocation and recovery of shared expenses, manage monthly accruals and prepare journal entries

· Analyze variances between actual and budgeted figures, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

· Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual property budgets to align with financial goals.

· Review and interpret lease agreements to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with lease terms.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of property accounting experience must include commercial property.
• Yardi Voyager property management software experience (strongly preferred)
• Must be proficient in accrual accounting, journal entries, variance analysis, and budgeting.
• Experience with CAM reconciliations and full cycle financial statements, required
• Demonstrates strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related
