Job Title: Senior Analyst, International Tax

Department: International Tax & Strategy

Role Overview: The Senior Analyst of International Tax will report to the Director of International Tax & Strategy and support the company’s international tax planning objectives (e.g., M&A), income tax reporting (ASC 740), and federal tax compliance obligations. This role is ideal for someone seeking exposure to a variety of M&A, tax technical, and operational issues in a growth-oriented FinTech business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review complex calculations such as Pillar 2 top-up taxes, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, Subpart F, foreign tax credit, and E&P calculations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize overall tax efficiency.
  • Research and document complex tax technical issues related to multifaceted business transactions and their US and international tax impact.
  • Manage and monitor the non-US cash income tax budget-to-actual process.
  • Oversee outside service providers regarding US and foreign tax compliance deliverables, transfer pricing filings, due diligence, and other tax planning projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Treasury) to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax-related projects.
  • Support the preparation and review of tax provisions and disclosures for financial reporting purposes.
  • Communicate complex tax matters clearly and concisely to non-tax professionals.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in international tax at a large public accounting firm or multinational corporation.
  • Strong computational skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with ASC 740 and tax accounting under US GAAP requirements.
  • Understanding of corporate taxation and the end-to-end tax cycle.
  • Experience researching and communicating complex international tax issues.
  • Experience with data automation tools such as Alteryx is a plus.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to drive projects to completion within defined timeframes.
