Senior Director of Accounting
About The Opportunity
I’m partnering with a leading healthcare services organization on a new Senior Director of Accounting hire. This person will play a key leadership role overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, process improvement initiatives, and team leadership across a complex and growing environment.
What You’ll Lead
- Direct accounting operations, including financial close, general ledger oversight, and financial reporting.
- Partner with finance and operational leaders to enhance reporting accuracy and support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee reconciliations, journal entry reviews, and the integrity of financial data.
- Drive process improvement, automation, and efficiency initiatives across the accounting function.
- Support audit activities and maintain strong internal control and compliance practices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team focused on operational excellence.
What They’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive relevant experience leading accounting and financial reporting functions within large or complex organizations (healthcare related, required)
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, corporate accounting principles, and internal controls.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and partnering with senior stakeholders.
- Track record of improving accounting processes, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.
- Oracle ERP system experience
Additional Skills/Experience Preferred
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
· Prior experience with a top 10 level accounting firm
· Healthcare industry experience (services, provider, managed care, value based)
