Senior Accounting Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the company’s accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting functions
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements are produced
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to senior management to improve the company’s financial performance, including contribution margin analysis by channel
- Partner with the CEO and other senior executives to develop and implement strategic financial plans that support the company’s growth objectives
- Lead the annual budgeting process and ensure that budgets are aligned with the company’s strategic goals
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and other financial service providers
- Ensure that the company’s financial systems and processes are scalable and can support rapid growth
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team
- Utilize operating systems to improve financial and accounting processes and efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- At least 8 years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role, with significant exposure to health and wellness companies and ecommerce
- Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
- Proven track record of developing and implementing financial strategies that support business growth
- Experience managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
