The Senior Accountant prepares journal entries, assists with the compilation of financial statements, helps facilitate the month end close process and performs ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.

What We Are Looking For

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting; construction or real estate experience an asset
  • Highly skilled in MS Suite including Excel

Bonus If You Have These Skills

  • CPA certification an asset

What You’ll Be Doing Each Day

  • Create and review journal entries ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as internal accounting policies
  • Participate in month end close and collaborate with the VP of Finance in the preparation of financial statements
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as necessary
  • Assist with interim and year-end audits by collecting and validating data, providing documentation and responding to inquiries
