Your Role:

We are seeking a Regulatory Reporting Manager to oversee regulatory reports for our client’s German legal entities. In this role, you will monitor precise financial transaction recording in line with Accounting Standards, ensuring the production of accurate regulatory reports. You will play a pivotal role in leading and executing initiatives aimed at enhancing the regulatory reporting process. Reporting to the Head of European Bank statutory, consolidation, and regulatory reporting, you will work closely with the German country controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and coordinate procedures and systems to ensure robust operational controls for regulatory reporting.
  • Oversee the production of various regulatory reports for our German entities, including statistical, prudential, and liquidity reports.
  • Support business departments and partners in understanding the impact of new business and regulatory rules.
  • Contribute to projects focused on regulatory reporting, compliance with new rules, and advisory work for business changes and restructures.
  • Stay informed about legislative and regulatory developments and maintain knowledge of External Reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Treasury, Risk and Compliance, Legal, and Business line management for regulatory returns.
  • Initiate and participate in ad hoc investigations and projects related to regulatory reporting.

Risk Management Responsibilities:

  • Promote a strong risk management culture within the Business Unit and collaborate with other defense lines to identify, analyze, and remediate risks.
  • Understand the Business Unit’s Risk Appetite in relation to legal entity infrastructure and contracts.
  • Ensure clear definition and understanding of risk management responsibilities throughout the Business Unit.
  • Maintain operational procedures and directive controls for effective risk management.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a university degree (or equivalent) in a financial discipline.
  • Possess 5 to 10 years of finance experience in a transaction-intensive service industry, preferably financial services.
  • Familiarity with administrative and internal control best practices.
  • Knowledge of Germany’s regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and effective communication across various levels and functions.
  • Ability to perform under time pressure while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Self-driven with a sense of responsibility and initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Proficiency in interacting with higher management and showcasing leadership skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with accounting systems, spreadsheets, and reporting packages.
  • Proficiency in both written and verbal German and English language skills.
