M&A Director or Lawyer – Private Funds and Credit
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced M&A Tax Director or Senior Associate level lawyer with a strong background in private market funds and credit to join this market leading advisory team. This role is a replacement role and the successful candidate can step in to an existing, established portfolio of work and there is a clear route to Partner.

Responsibilities:
- Provide expert tax advice and support in complex M&A transactions involving private market funds
- Conduct thorough tax due diligence and identify potential tax risks and opportunities.
- Develop and implement tax-efficient structures for fund investments, acquisitions, and dispositions.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Advise on tax aspects of credit agreements, loan transactions, and debt restructuring.
- Assist in the negotiation and drafting of tax-related provisions in transactional documents.
- Stay updated on relevant tax legislation, industry trends, and best practices.
Requirements:
- ACA or CTA qualified or qualified lawyer with demonstrable post qualification experience in a transaction tax advisory role
- Extensive experience in M&A tax, ideally with some private credit and funds tax experience.
- Strong knowledge of credit agreements, loan transactions, and debt instruments.
- Proven track record of providing tax advice in complex M&A transactions.
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
