International Tax Senior Manager
Our clients global network is ideally suited to serve large multinationals and global-minded mid-sized companies who need on the ground expertise in multiple jurisdictions. However, they also have substantial expertise helping fast growing companies who need a tax efficient structure for their first international expansion. The network means they have a clear view not only of the global trend but an on the ground view of disruptive, single country initiatives such as national taxes on digital services.
An unique opportunity to recruit externally rather than promote internally, for first time over the last few years, has arisen in Birmingham for a Senior Manager to join, who will work as part of the team to deliver a Full-service international corporate tax advice including:
- Corporate structuring
- Corporate transactions including M&A Tax Due Diligence projects (UK and co-ordination of overseas), and IPOs
- Risk analysis on global initiatives such as the OECD’s BEPS
- Restructuring projects (hive ups, step papers, transfer of trade, withholding tax, extraction of profits, holding companies analysis etc)
- UK exit charge analysis
- ATAD I and II analysis and CIR Returns
- Double tax treaty analysis and interpretation
- Oversight role of global compliance and tax provisioning
- Overall awareness of tax issues for Large (Intl) Corporates to be able spot opportunities / identify risks – CCO / LBTS / SAO

The team prides itself on its commitment to flexible working and we have moved to a hybrid working model. You will be expected to split your time between working from home, visiting our offices and attending client meetings.
Skills, knowledge and experience
- ACA and/or CTA (or qualified by experience including in a law firm)
- Great ability to build rapport with our colleagues, clients, and intermediaries.
- Demonstrate deep experience of providing tax advice to clients and/or delivery of tax assurance services.
- Significant experience of managing the financials on clients, delivering on budgets and negotiating fees with clients.
- Brilliant project management skills, including the ability to work within deadlines and deliver on agreed timescales.
- Skilful in identifying opportunities for business development on tax clients.
- Very experienced in coaching and mentoring junior members of the team.
- Very willing to further develop leadership skills.
