International Tax Manager
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Keeps up to date on tax law changes, cases, and regulations, such as Pillar 2 which provides for a global minimum tax on the earnings of large multinational businesses
- Develops and trains le tax less-experienced professionals
- Works with peers to maintain a collaborative and positive team culture
- Researches complex tax issues, and is proficient in interpreting and applying the tax law, regulations, and cases to specific transactions and factual situations
- Contributes to the development of a strategy to administer the US international tax compliance process using automation to gain efficiencies and ensure completeness and accuracy of the filings
- Works with transfer pricing and provision tax teams to gather the information required to complete the US international tax filing and compliance process. This would include information required to calculate FBCSI and provision information to calculate 901(m) haircut
- Preparation and review of US International tax filing and compliance process, including but not limited to Forms 5471s, 8858, 8865, 8975, 8990, 8991, 8992, 8993 and 1118
- Preparation and review of disclosure statements and elections related to international acquisitions, restructurings and tax planning
- Maintains updated E&P, tax basis and PTEP computations of the company’s foreign affiliates. Also maintain overall domestic loss, overall foreign loss accounts, and foreign tax credits calculations. Including the review of the foreign inclusions and foreign tax credit calculations
- Collaborates internally with multiple stakeholders to advance tax strategies and ensure compliance with tax laws. Assists in the identification and management of key risks emanating from international tax operations, compliance, and reporting
- Develops IRS responses on complex topics and analyzes technical positions in IRS audit examinations
- Oversees modeling of the US tax impacts of various tax strategies via the Deloitte international inclusion tool (IITR)
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or equivalent
- 10+ years of progressive US International tax experience in public accounting or industry
- Strong technical skills in: FTC; subpart F; TCJA 2017, including GILTI, BEAT and FDII and all international reporting and compliance matters
- Well-developed alternative scenario modeling skills
- Demonstrated strength in project management philosophy, tools and processes
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with strong history of delivery
- Experience using CorpTax, MS Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint and Bloomberg/BNA research tools
- Excellent leadership and teamwork skills
