International Tax Manager
Reporting to the Global Head of Tax based in Luxembourg, you will be responsible for providing tax advice on a broad range of commercially led tax projects. Working closely with the business, you will be able to explain complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner.
To succeed in this role, you will have a breadth of tax experience gained in a complex international environment and have the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders..
Core Responsibilities
- Key contact for the region who partners with business leaders, Tax, Finance, Treasury, Legal teams, and external advisers on various business and tax planning matters.
- Advise on and management of, tax issues relating to re-organisations and restructuring, and any acquisitions, disposals, liquidations and project activities in new locations.
- Transfer pricing reporting & planning for the region, together with the broader tax team..
- Management and documentation of uncertain tax positions.
- Overview of all taxes for the region to include any exposure to indirect tax matters.
- Overview and management of the tax compliance process for the region, suggesting any improvements as relevant.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and tax statutes to reduce tax liability.
- Management of the group’s relationship with the relevant Revenue Authorities.
- Review of quarterly tax provisions and advice to finance department colleagues.
- Review of relevant local country tax returns.
- Management and oversight of the integration and development of tax systems, policies and processes.
- Interaction and management of tax colleagues as relevant.
Experience and Characteristics
It is essential that the successful candidate can combine a breadth of 8-12 years of tax experience (preferably also in an inhouse role) wit the ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders within both the corporate functions and operating businesses to ensure the delivery of a range of business critical projects.
