International Tax Assistant Manager

The Corporate tax team in London is seeking a newly qualified assistant manager to join their growing team and facilitate the continued growth of the international tax practice in London.
The team which you will be joining engages with clients on a daily basis and assists them in navigating the increasingly complex tax landscape by providing tailored solutions to manage the risks of both today and the future.
This team will also provide advice within domestic and global strategic decisions and ensure that tax obligations are monitored and managed.
This assistant manager role will involve you presenting solutions to complex technical issues and you will need to demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge within your service area to develop solutions to complex technical issues.

You can expect to perform the following:
Provide high quality work on a daily basis. The work which you provide on a daily basis will have a major impact on our clients and the firm. You will be expected to perform to high standards and make high quality second nature.
Working on a variety of tasks. You will be advising multinational groups on a range of cross border tax issues, that will include corporate tax residence and permanent establishment concepts, group restructuring and supply chain issues, tax efficient financing, withholding taxes and treaty interpretation, new inbound or outbound expansion plans etc.
Be an active team member.
You will be joining a team of over 80 professionals across the UK, however your base will be within London and you can expect to liaise with Partners, Director, Associate Directors and Mangers on a daily basis regarding advising clients on international tax issues.
* You will be a newly qualified CTA, CA CTA or ADIT or equivalent.
* 3 years experience within a corporate / international tax team in practice or in industry.
A few other skills which could give you the edge.
* Working knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation
* Previous experience in reviewing and supervising staff within a tax environment
* Experience within the professional services.
* Working experience managing a portfolio of clients
