  • Prepare and submit filings for various entities and jurisdictions.
  • Manage customer exemptions and maintain proper certificates in Vertex.
  • Perform quarterly reviews of exempt transactions to ensure audit support.
  • Develop periodic customer campaigns for updated information.
  • Resolve billing disputes and issues related to sales tax and other miscellaneous taxes.
  • Review use tax accounts monthly for accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Perform quarterly reviews of problematic accounts and accrue as needed.
  • Reconcile sales and use tax accounts monthly using SAP and Vertex.
  • Make monthly entries for Sales Tax Reserve and prepare accrual workpapers for review.
  • Coordinate indirect tax audits, including sales tax, excise tax, and heavy equipment tax.
  • Review sales by jurisdiction monthly and register for new tax filing obligations and business licenses.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly returns and annual applications for heavy equipment tax.
  • Remit excise tax deposits semimonthly and prepare quarterly returns.
  • Utilize Alteryx for maintaining workpapers and developing automated workflows.
  • Actively participate in ERP (SAP) implementation and support Vertex integrations.
  • Lead trainings and workshops for impacted users.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
