Indirect Tax Manager

Currently recruiting for a Indirect Tax Manager for a fantastic global tax team based in London. Reporting into the Head of Indirect Tax this role offers and exciting opportunity for a candidate to focus on a pure advisory basis across the EU. The team manage the group’s tax affairs across all locations.

Ideally they are seeking a Indirect Tax Manager with a practice background and exposure to an in-house role either in previous positions or through secondments.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and understanding local and international VAT issues, including dealing with new VAT/GST rules.
  • Review and sign off of certain VAT compliance.
  • Assisting and managing VAT queries or audits.
  • Assisting with the implementation and monitoring of our operating structures.
  • Working with the team to proactively promoting awareness of indirect tax issues across the Group and building relationships with key stakeholders in all jurisdictions to achieve that goal
  • Managing VAT projects and working with the wider tax team and business stakeholders to ensure outcome is achieved.
  • Communicating advice effectively and clearly to stakeholders in the business and ensuring all advice is implemented correctly and in line with the Tax Team strategy
  • Working closely with the Transfer Pricing team and Group Finance to ensure the operating model is implemented and accounted for correctly from a VAT perspective
  • Dealing with day to day indirect tax issues arising within the business ranging from VAT treatment of invoices or assisting with the VAT technical analysis of issues.
  • Systems support from a VAT perspective
  • Reviewing contracts from a VAT perspective

Education, Qualifications & Experience

  • ATT/CTA qualified with relevant experience in industry & practice.
  • Strong understanding of Irish, UK and EU VAT legislation.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Oracle experience an advantage.
