Essential To This Position

The Indirect Tax Analyst will be working as part of the Corporate Tax team to minimize the overall tax liability of the company and its subsidiaries. They will also be responsible for supporting the Vice President-Tax and Indirect Tax Manager in sales and use tax reporting and compliance.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Handles all aspects of sales & use tax reporting and unclaimed property reporting
  • Prepares and files U.S. sales & use tax returns and Canadian GST/HST returns
  • Maintains sales & use tax accounts and prepares monthly sales/use tax account reconciliations
  • Fields and researches sales & use tax related questions from internal and external sources
  • Assists in Vertex O Series 9.0 maintenance and deployment
  • Files unclaimed property returns
  • Assists in compiling documentation for state audits
  • Reviews corporate credit card transactions to self-assess use tax

Required Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under tight reporting deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and business professionalism
  • Ability to anticipate potential problems and take corrective action

Education/Experience Required

  • Knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Prior work experience with tax return software preferred
