Head of Group Accounting (Interim)
Are you a seasoned Accounting professional, who is also passionate about the Earth’s transition to clean energy? This might be the role for you! Our client is a renewable energy provider with presence across Europe, the Americas and Asia, who is now looking to grow their footprint further in Europe. They are keen to bring on board their first hire in the Netherlands, to take on the role of Head of Group Accounting initially on an interim (3-6 months) and remote basis.
Responsibilities:
- Monthly internal reporting and quarterly to the national stock exchange
- Ensure correctness and timeliness of accounts for country unit reporting
- Be responsible for consolidation (through Cantor)
- Follow up on accounts received from their international companies
- Liaise with international business units and external accounting agencies
- Assist in year end audit processes
- Guide and manage an accounting resource remotely
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Chartered Accountant is preferred
- Minimum 8 years’ of experience in Accounting & Finance, especially with financial reporting & consolidation
- Experience in a corporate with international presence, ideally from a similar industry
- Hands on, adaptable, pro-active
- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
