Role Overview: The Senior Tax Manager will have direct responsibility for supporting the worldwide tax provision, international income tax compliance (both federal and foreign income tax returns), transfer pricing, and tax planning. This role requires expertise in ASC 740, GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits, and Subpart F.
Essential Functions/Job Duties:
- Timely and accurate preparation of the international portion of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provisions and associated supporting schedules for 10Q and 10K SEC filings.
- Calculate GILTI, FDII, Subpart F, and Foreign Tax Credits.
- Model and calculate Pillar II Global Minimum Tax.
- Lead the management of global transfer pricing documentation, including CbCR.
- Review monthly transfer pricing calculations.
- Manage US federal income tax compliance (Forms 5471, 8858, 1118, 8991, 8992, 8993, etc.).
- Work closely with local country external providers to ensure accurate and timely filing of international income tax returns.
- Prepare annual international provision to returns.
- Assist with tax-related audits and notices issued by tax authorities.
- Address inquiries from internal and external business partners related to the tax department.
- Support other team members of the tax function by performing ad hoc tax analyses, providing analytical support, and assisting with other special projects as needed.
- Stay current on tax law changes and changes in the company’s business activities.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent); CPA or MST preferred.
- 9+ years of tax experience in a large publicly traded multinational company or a combination of Big Four and publicly traded multinationals, with a focus on tax reporting for public companies.
- Expert knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 740 accounting for income taxes.
- Expert knowledge of U.S. tax provisions affecting international operations, including Subpart F, TCJA provisions (GILTI, FDII, BEAT), Section 965, foreign tax credits, and allocation and apportionment of expenses.
- Experience and knowledge of U.S. GAAP to Statutory and Statutory to Tax adjustments.
- Ability to research, analyze, summarize, and communicate complex tax issues using tax research tools.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple requests timely in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- High proficiency in Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to liaise with cross-functional teams and business partners.
- Experience with OneSource Tax Provision is preferred; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
