Financial Accountant
I am excited to collaborate with an international real estate business to search for their new Financial Accountant in the Amsterdam area.
The Financial Accountant will work within the Netherlands team and play a crucial role in financial reporting, including day-to-day accounting tasks, and monthly/quarterly closings.
For the right Financial Accountant, this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in accounting, finance, and reporting while supporting the wider finance team in both financial and commercial functions.
Responsibilities
- Receipting and preparing all purchase invoices for processing.
- Recording as received, all purchase invoices on the financial accounting system Yardi.
- Processing authorised invoices on the accounting system and posting them to the general ledger.
- Preparing payments for each legal entity in adherence to group payment policy.
- Assistance with preparing and reviewing local (Dutch) GAAP and statutory accounts, as well as participating in the periodic financial closing process, including bank booking, bank reconciliation, intercompany accounting, and balance reconciliation.
- Ensure that all supplier master data in the accounting system is accurate and complete. Coordinate and assist with tax returns, VAT, and CIT.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring proper accruals. Process inter-company billings.
Requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of IFRS and Dutch GAAP.
- English and Dutch speaker/writer.
- Knowledge of Dutch taxes and local filing
- Finance Degree or equivalent.
- Real estate experience is preferred, but not essential.
- Knowledge in Yardi preferred but not essential.
