We are looking for a Finance Manager (m/f/d) for a leading developer, investor, owner and manager of first-class real estates in Europe. The company is headquartered in the UK and focuses on twelve countries in Western and Eastern Europe. It has industry-leading expertise across the value chain, including investment, development, asset management and leasing.

In Europe, the company currently manages four funds. Within the German team, you will take responsibility for financial reporting, including day-to-day accounting tasks and monthly/quarterly financial statements, as well as supporting the German Country Manager and the Regional Controller for Northern Europe in the area of Finance.

Your responsibilities

  • Maintain close relationships with other central London based support functions, primarily in the areas of tax, legal and finance, to support local operations and to ensure the highest standards of compliance at this level, with ensuring the highest standards of compliance, with responsibility for tax compliance and other regulatory requirements locally
  • Responsible for all accounting HGB/ IFRS for the German group, as well as reporting to the group headquarters in London
  • Manage the outsourced real estate accounting function and effectively manage the resources required to perform the function and fulfill all responsibilities
  • Provide support for corporate transactions in Germany, including assisting with underwritings for project developments and acquisitions, leading financial due diligence and assisting in legal review of transactions, preparing cash flow analyses, evaluating creditworthiness of tenants and other counterparties, communicating GLP/fund financial stability and required post-acquisition integration
  • Lead and develop the finance team in Germany (2FTE)

Your qualifications

  • Successfully completed studies with a focus on accounting and controlling, or comparable qualification with business administration training
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting
  • Financial statements according to HGB, as well as IFRS
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • High degree of reliability and initiative
  • Yardi knowledge is an advantage
