Finance Manager
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise accounting team
- Lead monthly accounting close for the US and regional offices in North and Latin America
- Preparation and posting of journal entries
- Review and approve journal entries
- Preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, trial balances, and other financial reports
- Preparation and review of financial reporting packages, variance analyses, and annual audited financial statements
- Work collaboratively with Finance Business Partners and other departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of financials
- Coordinate and manage external audit process
- Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
- Assist with training and development of the accounting team
- Liaise with bank regarding payment inquiries and banking activities
- Ad-hoc financial analyses and participation in projects as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field is required
- Public accounting/private company mix preferred
- CPA or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role
- Strong accounting foundation & solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures
- Solid computer skills, inclusive of Excel, Word, PowerPoint. JDE experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization
- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail, ability to work as part of a team
