An international professional services firm are looking for a Finance Manager / Senior Manager to join the team. The team are expanding and are looking for a client-focused Finance Manager to take on this role, with a focus in oil and gas. This will be a pivotal hire for the team, and will need a proactive, personable and collaborative individual to work closely with internal and external stakeholders, delivering tailored accounting solutions.

Based in Scotland, with a preference for Aberdeen and on a hybrid basis, you will lead teams, manage client relationships, providing opportunities for growth and provide strategic insights that make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a full suite of accountancy services, including, Management accounts oversight and Statutory reporting and review
  • Lead and manage finance functions for a diverse client portfolio
  • Provide commercial finance insights and strategic recommendations
  • Oversee system reviews and process improvements
  • Ensure timely, accurate delivery of services within budget
  • Coach and develop team members, fostering technical and client management skills
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for business development and cross-service collaboration
  • Contribute to the strategic direction and operational success of the team
  • Senior Manager responsibilities: line management

What We’re Looking For

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experience in the oil and gas sector is a strong preference
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and other local standards
  • Proven experience in both practice and industry
  • Skilled in managing client portfolios and delivering bespoke projects
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder
  • Passionate problem solver with a growth mindset
  • Tech-savvy with experience in cloud accounting and finance automation tools
  • Collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment
