Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Support Cash Operations and expenses accounting team ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal Controls.
  • Full ownership of the expense allocation processes, analysis, and reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarter, and year-end reports and analysis.
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger balances and transactions.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual expenses accounting deliverables.
  • Assist with ERP system upgrade and implementation.
  • Special projects as requested.
  • Maintain and improve processes and controls.
  • Work and maintain a positive relationship with expenses accounting team including the source team.
  • Partner the Controllers, FP&A, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Serve as the back up to the head of expenses accounting and other member of the Operating expenses accounting team.

The Minimum Qualifications

  • Accounting degree
  • 6+ years of related accounting experience

The Ideal Qualifications

  • 8+ year of progressive accounting experience in a variety of expense roles
  • Demonstrated experience applying GAAP and Statutory accounting practices.
  • Prior experience with offshore, sourced team members.
  • Ability to influence others using expert knowledge, effective communications and demonstrated results.
  • Experience writing accounting memorandums, business processes or standard work.
  • Experience with data query tools like SAP Business Warehouse, Analysis for Office, Hyperion, or similar tools
  • Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft Excel and Word as well as SAP S4H.
  • SAP S4 Hana with SAC and AO experience
  • Previous experience summarizing and presenting accounting results to senior leadership.
  • Ability to create and evolve new processes.
  • Prior experience advising and teaching accounting concepts and processes to non-accounting business partners.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience applying GAAP and Statutory accounting practices.
  • Experience with data query tools like SAP Business Warehouse, Analysis for Office, Hyperion, or similar tools
  • Hands on experience creating and supporting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and working with accounting controls.
  • Previous experience with month-end, quarter close and year end accounting cycles.
  • Ability to interact with all levels within an organization.
