Our client, one of the Big 4, is looking for a Senior Manager in its Employment Solutions team based in the Cambridge office. The tea,m has experienced high growth over a number of years and is looking to double in size over the next three years to meet the demands of its expanding client base.

The Employment Solutions offering operates as a national practice, working on a broad range of compliance, governance and advisory issues including PAYE, payroll, CIS compliance and reward and benefit planning.

Clients are from a number of sectors but there is a focus on the high growth life sciences, biotech and technology businesses which are at the heart of the UK government's Industrial Strategy.

The team is inclusive, supportive and friendly and values fresh ideas and innovation in all they do. Flexible working is well and truly established within the team and you would not be expected to be in Cambridge all week.

The Role

As a Senior Manager, your role would involve, but not be restricted to:

Managing the delivery of a variety of employment solutions advisory projects, varying from larger strategic projects through to risk and opportunity reviews

Overseeing compliance

Working with the team on winning projects and leading local market initiatives as well as developing new and existing client relationships

Engagement management

Review, development and coaching of more junior colleagues

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

Practical experience of and a strong background in Employment Tax, ideally from an HMRC or practice background

CTA / ACA or the CA qualification (although candidates without this qualification but who consider themselves qualified by experience will be considered.

The ability to think analytically when faced with technically challenging problems

Client facing and business development skills; the role involves very little knocking on cold doors but an ability to identify a potential problem and offer a solution will be very useful in this role
