This in-house role is with a listed global technology company who’s customers include some of the worlds largest brand names.

The role has a core focus on M&A and transactions tax, as well as tax planning and structuring.

This group are currently enjoying a period of sustained growth and as such they need an EMEA Tax Manager to manage EMEA tax advisory work, covering almost 140 legal entities.

You will sit in a medium sized tax team based in Amsterdam but also form part of a larger global tax team.

Reporting to the EMEA Tax Director you will be working on a variety of technical tax issues, relating to M&A, in a fast-paced and expanding organization. There is a smaller part of this role requires assistance with tax provisioning.

Key responsibilities;

  • Provide tax advice on M&A, deals and restructuring across EMEA, particularly real estate transactions
  • Provide advice on Pillar 2 initiatives and planning
  • Provide advice on tax controversy issues
  • Provide advise on tax planning and restructuring
  • Assist with maintenance and compliance of key SOX controls related to tax accounting
  • Assist in utilising a working knowledge of multiple GAAPs from a tax perspective (FRS 102, IFRS & US GAAP)
  • Assist in preparation and review of annual tax budget and quarterly tax reforecast
  • Assist the team in monitoring quarterly CT compliance (outsourced)

About you;

  • Bachelors degree with a tax or accounting qualification or tax legal background
  • Proven track record in CIT
  • Understanding of international tax environment particularly European markets
  • Real estate experience is a plus
  • US GAAP tax accounting principles knowledge is a plus
  • Multinational (in-house) experience is a plus
  • Experience in a SOX environment is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
