Director, Strategic Finance Projects
My client is a FTSE listed Technology company who are looking to hire a Director, Strategic Finance & projects in a role which offers large amounts of variety and also opportunity for personal and professional development.
This role will require someone with a solid technical grounding in finance within large organizations whilst also having a very commercial personality and mindset to allow for management of a number of key stakeholders across the business. The role will be a leader within corporate finance and working capital efforts. It is key to shaping critical decisions that shape financial agenda using insight and analysis whilst leading a high performing team.
The role is based in the firms London office. The firm offer flexible working arrangements but ask that employees commit to coming to the office 3 days per week.
Key responsibilities
- Manage quarterly market valuation exercise
- Partner with the FP&A team to ensure financial plans are up to date and based on accurate analysis of actuals.
- Collaborate with experts across Tax, Treasury, IR to ensure accurate valuation outputs.
- Manage and review leverage and capacity model and provide insights.
- Provide insightful and thought out recommendations on relevant investments for profits generated by the firm.
- Corporate finance advisory including share buyback programs and dividend growth recommendations as well as contributing to the firms due diligence efforts on an ongoing and ad hoc basis
- Lead working capital reporting, cash flow forecasting and support M&A projects.
- Ensure smooth integration and accurate reporting from external projects.
- Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across the business and finance.
- Identify and implement process improvements wherever necessary / possible.
Required skills and experience.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant (or equivalent)
- Experienced working in a large, listed firm, with experience of both corporate finance and working capital.
- Prior experience having trained in big 4 or top 10 accounting practice preferable.
- Proven track record managing high performing teams, hiring, appraising, motivating and managing teams.
- Adaptable, driven and self-motivated personality is key.
- Solid foundational experience in financial accounting, reporting and valuation skills within a listed firm.
- Experience with financial modelling and valuation.
- Commercial mind-set, ability to manage expectations whilst understanding the commercial interests of the business and wider around this one.
- Track record of identifying and implementing process improvements.
