Position Overview:

The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management and strategy, including establishing and enforcing financial policies, managing accounting operations, providing insightful financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day financial and accounting operations for 3 business entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Generate monthly financial reports, forecasts, and financial statements; provide actionable insights and strategic advice to senior leadership.
  • Monitor cash balances, debt financing, and provide cash flow forecasts to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee and manage the annual budgeting process; provide strategic recommendations based on financial performance and business goals.
  • Manage bi-weekly payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed asset maintenance, and ensure proper processing of 1099s and W2
  • Ensure regulatory compliance for various filings, including 5500 filings, M1, form 990, personal property tax returns, and annual audits.
  • Provide financial analysis and advisement for contracts and strategic decision-making issues affecting the organization.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing finance team, including staff in accounts payable, payroll, supply management, and data analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience in finance and accounting in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial compliance.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including financial software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly and persuasively to senior management, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, and develop actionable conclusions.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance teams, and work cross-collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
