Director of Finance
Position Summary:
The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reports, forecasts, and analyses. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong financial background who can manage the day-to-day finance functions, improve financial processes, and provide insights to the executive team to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will be quick on their feet, able to handle a fast-paced environment, and ensure that project and procurement operations are efficiently managed and compliant with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance department and manage all aspects of financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the company’s financial health and support its long-term objectives.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to the executive leadership team and board of directors.
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior management for decision-making and business growth.
- Oversee cash flow management, financial risk assessments, and cost controls.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure financial data is accurate and timely, supporting operational and strategic goals.
- Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, promoting continuous development and efficient workflow.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and legal requirements.
- Assist in preparing financial models, business cases, and investment analyses for new projects and business initiatives.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial consultants as needed.
- Lead the development and execution of long-term financial goals and ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
- Ensure smooth operations of project financials and procurement processes, making sure all expenses and resources are managed effectively.
- Continuously improve financial processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all departments, especially with project and procurement teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA a plus but not required.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in financial management within the tech or computing industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and other stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex financial data with efficiency and precision.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and tax laws.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills, particularly in the context of project financials and procurement operations.
