We’re looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our clients corporate tax team in Newport Beach, CA.

In this role, you’ll lead tax accounting and compliance efforts, focusing on ASC 740 tax accounting and reporting. You’ll collaborate across departments and provide technical guidance on complex tax matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review consolidated tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures
  • Handle quarterly forecasting, including effective tax rate and cash tax projections
  • Manage uncertain tax positions under ASC 740
  • Support external audits and ensure SOX/ICFR compliance
  • Research and advise on tax accounting initiatives
  • Provide ASC 740 guidance to team members
  • Partner with accounting, finance, and treasury teams on tax matters
  • Oversee integration and digitization of tax provision and compliance processes
  • Manage external advisors and special tax projects

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 6+ years of progressive tax experience (Big 4 + corporate preferred)
  • Strong ASC 740 expertise; SSAP 101 a plus
  • Life insurance industry experience preferred
