Job Description

  • Responsible for all accounting aspects of the company, managed in Oracle NetSuite:
    • Manage AR, customer statements, customer payments and keep aging in-check
    • Manage customer credit insurance policy
    • AP and the various payment forms including ACH, auto-debits, check
    • Monitor cash flow and maintain accruals
    • Analyze fluctuations in the income statement and understand primary drivers
    • Manage deferred revenue policy for DDP and consignment shipments.
    • Enter payroll data into NetSuite from ADP report (payroll processed by VP Admin)
    • Bank and financial document reconciliations
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts to support schedules
    • Close monthly accounting periods
    • Compile monthly and annual financial reports
    • Compile monthly sales details worksheet summarizing revenue & COGS at line level
    • Develop and manage internal audits & controls for new ERP system
  • Mentor current support team of 1 full time and 1 part time accounting assistants.
  • Manage estimated tax payments throughout the year in jurisdictions where we are conducting business.
  • Collaborate with VP of Sales on budgets and projections by adding financial information based on tonnage projections.
  • Interface with parent company’s overseas accounting team (monthly reporting and resulting questions).
  • Close-out 2023 audit with overseas accounting firm from previous IPO exercise.
  • Possible new audit exercise with overseas accounting firm for parent company IPO process.
  • Advise management on financial decisions and make proactive recommendations.
  • Participate in annual tax return and audit processes with local firm Smith & Howard.
  • Review and improve NetSuite accounting setup and/or practices, KPI’s, dashboards etc.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service team on completing Accounting and CSR SOP’s.
