Who You are

You are an experienced Controller with a strong finance background who has a passion for business operations and management. You will play an integral role in helping multiple Clients across different industries by providing in-depth financial and analytical guidance. You are a solutions-oriented problem solver who aims to provide the best Client experience, enjoys leading a team, and operates with a high level of autonomy in a fast-paced environment.

Your experience encompasses:

  • 6+ years of operational accounting/finance experience
  • Managing a team as a people leader
  • Overseeing full-cycle accounting for a growth stage or middle market company
  • Delivering financial results, positions, and insights to executive leaders (C-Suite)
  • Working knowledge of various accounting software and PEO services
  • Experience with intercompany transactions and consolidating financial statements
  • Experience with revenue recognition and inventory management as per GAAP standards
  • Experience with multinational accounting and merger/acquisition, a plus
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
  • Master’s Degree, a plus
  • CPA, a plus

What you’ll do:

Our Clients vary from industry to size, and no two accounts are the same. However, our responsibility to provide sound financial services and operations support across the portfolio is a must. You will be helping define our Clients’ needs while building and managing a team. In addition, you’ll be managing various financial, operational and management tasks and responsibilities that include:

Client Services

  • Onboarding new Clients while identifying their needs and building relationships with the Founders and Leadership
  • Overseeing multiple accounts and ensuring Client satisfaction and success
  • Professional liaison for our Clients and their partners, customers, and vendors
  • Helping Clients navigate day-to-day business decisions and consult on financial goals and issues
  • Partnering with Black Ink’s team of experts to deliver for our clients

Accounting

  • Designing and developing accounting processes and procedures
  • Overseeing various accounting processes, and providing guidance, and evaluation
  • Preparing reports and making recommendations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Be a trusted resources to Managers and Accountants
  • Leading key accounting milestones, i.e., month-end and annual financial and tax audits
