We are currently working with one of the largest merchant banks in the United Kingdom, a FTSE 250 firm engaging in merchant banking, investment management and specialist lending.

The role of Senior Analyst for Balance Sheet Management has now become available at the bank.

They are searching for a candidate, ideally with banking experience, who can assist in the analysis and development of the bank's funding and liquidity strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in evaluation of current and predicted liquidity and cash flow positions, aligning these positions with internal and regulatory appetites and constraints.

Support the Balance Sheet Manager in developing medium and long term funding composition strategy.

Contribute to the Bank's ILAAP document.

Reviewing and updating liquidity and funding metrics based on analysis of customer deposits and funding patterns.

Liaise with multiple stakeholders across the Treasury and Risk functions to ensure alignment of funding and balance sheet forecasts. Work with the front office to understand liquidity implications of transactions.

Prepare documents and provide commentary for ALCo, FPRCC, Group Board, Funding and Liquidity meetings.

Key Skills:

Experience working in Funding or Liquidity or Balance Sheet Management within financial services, preferably in a banking environment.

Contributing to funding and liquidity strategy, or in the preparation of the ILAAP document.

Previous experience or understanding of the implication of how various products, strategies and activities affect the liquidity or balance sheet of a firm.
