Audit Senior Manager – Wealth & Asset Management
I’m working with a top independent Practice firm based in London who are looking to strengthen their growing Financial Services offering with a Senior Audit Manager. This team is expanding in line with the growth across the business, which is also being reflected across all of their main Audit teams. Joining the team as a Senior Manager, you will be integral to the firm’s continued growth and success. You will manage a client portfolio, drive new business initiatives, and service clients across the funds, investments, and Wealth and Asset Management space. You will report directly into Partners and have a team beneath you that you are expected to lead and support.
Main responsibilities:
· Manage a diverse portfolio of clients within the wealth and asset management sector, acting as a key point of contact.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, identifying opportunities to expand service offerings and deepen engagement.
· Lead all aspects of the audit process including statutory and CASS audits-from planning and fieldwork through to completion and reporting.
· Ensure high-quality delivery by reviewing financial statements, resolving accounting queries, and managing client and Responsible Individual (RI) expectations.
· Monitor budgets and recoveries, proactively managing overruns and billing discussions with clients.
· Supervise daily operations of the audit team, providing line management to staff and coaching junior team members, playing an active role in their career development through training, performance reviews, and mentoring.
· Uphold the firm’s reputation as sector specialists by providing insightful business advice and technical guidance, collaborating with other service lines where necessary .
· Report directly to the RI, ensuring clear communication and alignment on client matters. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain high standards of client satisfaction.
Requirements:
· ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
· Demonstrable experience gained within a UK-based Practice servicing a financial services portfolio
· Strong technical foundations of sector specific audit risks for the wealth and asset management space
· Adept with IFRS, ISAs and UK GAAP principles
· Experience managing and leading a team
· Demonstrable experience in a client-facing role working on business development prospects
