Audit Manager – Corporate Clients – Manchester
A top 10 accounting firm are looking to strengthen their Manchester team with a corporate Audit Manager. The corporate team are a core tenet of the audit stream and made up of a dynamic range of clients across a variety of sectors, including but not limited to travel, hospitality, manufacturing, media and retail. Clients also vary in size but typically tend to be large or medium, with some being listed and some with private equity backing.
As an Audit Manager within the team you will be responsible for the daily management of your team, as well as managing your own portfolio of clients. You will also play an active role in contributing to the growth of the firm in identifying and developing prospective business.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied portfolio in terms of client size and sector
- Take on greater client-facing responsibilities as you oversee the team portfolio and work towards making it your own
- Involvement in all aspects of the audit process from planning through to reporting
- Ensure timely delivery to the high standard expected of the firm
- Take active involvement with delegation of work, training juniors, and reviewing work
- Manage and develop your team of direct reports
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Highly adept with IFRS and UK GAAP
- Demonstrable experience auditing UK-based clients across a range of non-financial services sectors
- Strong interpersonal skills and desire to utilise this in a client-facing role
- Right to work without sponsorship in the UK.
