I am currently recruiting for an Associate, Treasury Accounting for a London Bank.

Main Activities and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the production of some of the daily front office P&Ls and preparation of monthly and quarterly journal entries
  • Assists in the production of IFRS compliant accounts for Treasury on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Application of IFRS to Treasury's accounts including analysis and interpretation of the new starts, impact and development of best practice.
  • Assist with issues relating to accounting for hedge accounting and financial instruments (including bonds, money markets, and derivatives)
  • Documentation and testing of internal controls
  • Ad hoc reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Documentation and testing of internal controls
  • Preparation of IFRS-compliant Treasury sections for the annual financial statements

General Requirements

  • Graduate, qualified chartered accountant, experience of Treasury reporting an advantage
  • Highly disciplined and team oriented individual
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Adept at working with IT systems, including intermediate Excel. Knowledge of Summit and SAP R3 and advanced Excel an advantage
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
