Associate Lawyer – Tax – 4 years PQE
This role involves advising on all aspects of corporate tax within a dynamic and highly regarded Tax Advice and Controversy team. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing comprehensive tax advice, contributing to the structuring and execution of transactions both domestically and internationally.

Key Tasks:
The Tax Advice and Controversy team covers a range of transactions, and the Associates advise on tax aspects related to:
- Structured real estate transactions
- M&A, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions
- Funds – hedge and debt, real estate, and other asset classes
- International tax structures and cross-border transactions
- Structured (asset and Islamic) finance and capital markets
- Insolvency and restructuring
- Relevant VAT and indirect tax issues
Qualifications Required:
- 4 years PQE+
- Ideally, England and Wales qualification, but a legal qualification enabling practice in the UK is acceptable
- Strong academic background
Experience and Knowledge:
- Broad corporate-tax experience in a City or large regional practice
- Real estate tax and taxation of corporate transactions is advantageous
- Additional experience in funds taxation, taxation of financial transactions, and tax accounting is a plus
Attitude and Skills:
- Commercially focused with intellectual curiosity
- Confidence in client-facing interactions
- Ability to work independently and seek support when needed
- Confidence to challenge conventional tax thinking
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
