Our client is a constituent of FTSE 250 and is searching for an In-house Assistant Tax Manager to join the tax team in London.

As an Assistant Tax Manager, you will work in a team of 7 tax professionals and report to the Senior Tax Manager. Your portfolio will predominantly focus on the UK business but you will also have exposure to the overseas entities. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with the preparation and management of the UK tax compliance returns.
  • Support the delivery of the Group’s tax reporting requirements for the Group Full year and Interim consolidated accounts.
  • Support in forecasting and managing the Group Effective Tax Rate.
  • Deliver the Group’s Country-by-Country filing and reporting requirements.
  • Support in Pillar 2 tax calculations and compliance.
  • Assist with ad hoc international tax and advisory projects.

Ideally, you will be ACCA, ACA, and/or CTA qualified with 3 years of UK corporate tax experience. This role will allow you to develop your knowledge in other areas of tax with the support of the team. You should also be eager to further develop your skills, have excellent communication skills, and be a team player.

Unfortunately, this role will not offer visa sponsorship and is only open to candidates in the UK.

In return, you will receive a salary of £60,000-£70,000 base depending on your experience plus a 10% discretionary bonus and a host of benefits. The tax team follow a hybrid pattern of 2-3 days in the office.
