Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Oversee property-level financial reporting, including rent rolls, CAM reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Work closely with property managers, asset managers, and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in tax compliance, including property tax filings and coordination with tax advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial regulations.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Utilize accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar) to maintain financial records and generate reports.
  • Assist in cash management, banking relationships, and treasury functions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in commercial real estate or property management.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, real estate financial reporting, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Yardi, MRI, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
